Meet Beck, a 2 year old American Shelter Dog and Nancy's first "Failed Foster" in fifteen years of rescueing fostering dogs. Beck hails from the CARA shelter in Mississippi, where he languished for nearly 7 months before coming North with Canine Commitment. The Smith family is thrilled to add him to their family. Beck is very athletic and has a wonderful, biddable temperment mixed with a bit of reactivity. Beck is training in Rally, Freestyle, Agility, OB, and maybe even Dock Diving! We see great things in store for this super sweet and LUCKY dog! Beck has shown himself to be a super trick dog.

Charlee on her 7th Birthday
NEBCR's Charlee, is an 11 year old Border Collie mix from New England Border Collie rescue and she is one smart dog! She loves Freestyle and aglity and learning new behaviors, but a neck injury has her in rest mode right now. At eight years young she can outrun and outlast her younger canine brother. Charlee loves to do safety demo's for kids in the Safe Dogs Safe Kids program (free!), and she has a fabulous sense of humor. Three children got in the way of Charlee's agility career, but we haven't counted her out just quite yet and hope she mends soon with the help of medical interventions. Charlee joined our family with severe behavior issues. Nancy loves to tell the story of how on the day she brought Charlee home, she pulled so hard on the leash that she made all four of her peds bleed. Charlee was fearful and reactive of other dogs and just about everyone Nancy knew, including her Vet, who called Charlee a porcupine as everyone one of her hairs used to stand on end in fear, told her to send her back or put her down. The rest as they say is history.

Hylight's Finnegan Begin Again CGC TDI "Finney" is our 6 year old Smooth Collie and resident "stooge" dog. With his superb dog skills, qnd rock solid temperament Finney has helped hundreds of dog aggressive and reactive dogs and their owners in and group and private sessions. Finney has teamed up with Nancy's 10 year old daughter and together they are showing in Rally -O and learning a Freestyle routine.
